Screw-drive technology is unique in the market in that the lifting cabin or platform is always attached to a toughened steel screw. The movement behind the “lifting” is not a pulling motion through cable or belt, but a rotation of a nut around the screw. This revolutionary system ensures that Cibes Lift screw drives are able to meet not only the extremely high European Safety Standards but also those of our other markets around the world.

The combination of the Cibes light curtain, which allows to stop near instantaneously in emergency situations, and the cabin design of our V90 allows us to reach a new level of safety.
All our lifts are equipped not only with a emergency battery lowering system in case of power failures, but an additional mechanical lowering system safeguard in the pit.

Every product that runs mechanically requires regular maintenance & so does our lift however the maintenance is relatively low as our Screw doesn't show wear & tear easily. Cibes also offers a decade long warranty on the Screw because we are confident about the quality of our product.
Since our Lift is a Platform lift manufactured in Sweden, so we follow the European Safety standards which is 0.15m/sec, here the braking distance is minimal & the lift stops safely.
There is a lot of wear and tear in Screw Drive Technology due to constant friction as compared to other lifts & requires monthly maintainence
Our lift is too slow if someone wants to use the lift urgently to go upstairs or on top floor
Yes, we do not have any safety feature to operate from inside however we have RFID Reset Tag Button which is USP of Cibes which is placed outside the Ground Floor call button. This is very easy to operate as it just needs to be swiped with the Tag which anyone can do & the lift will reboot itself & come down to the ground floor.
Our Safety Edges are touch sensitive mechanical sensor. If anything gets caught on the sides, the mechanical safety edges will stop the lift. If somebody puts a finger at these edges or get stuck it will cut the safety circuit and stop the lift when descending. These were made specifically to eliminate the risk of crush injuries inside the lift. The safety edges are spring loaded and the lift will restart as soon as one of these emergencies has been solved.
There is no safety feature inside our lift if someone is stuck inside & there is nobody to rescue him
Our safety edges are not like sensors which can stop the lift immediately, eg- if a saree is stuck in between the safety edge & also you cannot lean against the shaft as the Platform is moving
Of course we have a import license, how else could we import them. License copy available on request. All lifts are imported from our factory in Gavle, Sweden.
Cibes has been doing screw drive lifts since 1975, if this was a failed technology, how would we be selling so many lifts around the globe.
Screw drive elevators are a failed product?
Cibes India does not have a import license?
All Cibes lifts are certified by the Lift Institute and SIL 3 certification. SIL 3 certification is given to nuclear power plant for their safety. That’s how safe our lifts are.
